Join the brilliant Jane Beedle (GBBO Finalist, series 7) live from Kent, UK who will show you her very own take on the classic crowd-pleaser, the Tiramisu.
The class starts at 5pm UK on Saturday 6th February 2021. We’ll start off the class with an introductory welcome and some background from Jane's time on TV, before we ask you to put on your aprons and bake along as you watch Jane demonstrate all the skills required to make Jane's delicious treats.
Our class will take around two hours as we bake our masterpieces, before you can tuck into the fruits of your labour all whilst hearing fantastic memories and stories from Jane, Tickets are priced at £35 for individuals and £50 for groups of two or more that will join from the same household. Places are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or altered after purchase. All guests will be emailed a link to the class following their booking.
8” or 20cm Spring release cake tin , thin cake board to fit the base of the tin, Baking sheet x 2 lined with baking paper, Electric hand whisk, bowls, piping bag x 2, 1.2 or 1.5 cm plain piping nozzle, star piping nozzle, wooden spoon, balloon whisk, sieve, saucepan, grater or zester.
For the ladyfingers:
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 125g Caster sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest and 2 tsp juice of an unwaxed lemon
- 85g Plain flour
- 40g Cornflour
- Icing Sugar for dusting
For the tiramisu:
- 6 Large egg yolks
- 200g Caster sugar divided
- 8 tbs Marsala wine, rum or coffee liqueur
- 500g Mascarpone
- 300ml Double cream
- 1 tbs Caster sugar
- 250ml Boiling water
- 1 ½ tbs Expresso powder or good instant coffee
- Cocoa powder
- 200g Plain Chocolate
- White chocolate stars or sprinkles
