About the Event

Join the brilliant Rosie Brandreth (GBBO, series 10) live to make her delicious take on a British classic, the Cornish Pasty. In this class you'll be baking sweet and savoury pasties, including the traditional cheese and onion filling, as well as treacle tart version to satisfy anyone with a sweet tooth.

The class starts at 5pm UK on Sunday 21st March 2021 and all you need is access to Zoom via a computer, an iPad or a phone and you'll be connected! We’ll start off the class with an introductory welcome and some background from Rosie's time on TV, before we ask you to put on your aprons & bake along as you watch Rosie demonstrate all the skills required to make these little treats. Our class will take around 1h 45 minutes as we bake our masterpieces, before you can tuck into the fruits of your labour all whilst hearing fantastic memories and stories from Rosie.

Tickets are priced at £35 for individuals and £50 for groups of two or more that will join from the same household. Places are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or altered after purchase.

All classes are subject to a minimum number of six attendees signing up. If the minimum number is not met, we will inform those who have purchased a place no later than 48 hours before the class, and will arrange a full refund. All guests will be emailed a link to the class following their booking.


· large mixing bowl

· small mixing bowl

· frying pan

· rolling pin

· baking tray x 2

· baking paper

· pastry brush

· sharp knife or mandolin

· garlic press (optional)

For the pastry:

· 600g plain flour (plus extra to flour the surface)

· 320g unsalted butter pre-cut into 1cm cubes and chilled

· 1 tsp salt

· 150ml cold water (ideally from the fridge)

· 1 egg (to glaze)

For the savoury filling:

· 200g potatoes

· 1 large onion

· 2 cloves of garlic

· 75ml double cream

· ½ tsp salt, black pepper to taste

· 250g mature cheddar cheese (grated)

· 2 tbsp olive oil

For the sweet filling:

· 200g breadcrumbs

· 400g golden syrup

· ½ tsp cinnamon

· 2 tbsp soft brown sugar (optional but gives a deeper flavour)

· Good pinch salt

· Sugar to sprinkle (caster, granulated or coarse is fine!)
