Join the brilliant Karen Wright (Great British Bake Off Contestant from series 9) live from Wakefield, UK who will teach you the skills you need to master Strawberry and Ganache Tartlets with Chocolate Dipped Strawberries!

This class takes place on Sunday June 19th at 8pm UK GMT

Bake With A Legend Online Classes are an interactive experience, where we limit group sizes to around 20 to ensure an intimate online setting. Not only do you have your celebrity baker teaching you, but you also have one of our brilliant Bake With A Legend hosts who will ensure the smooth running of your experience ensuring everyone is enjoying themselves.

If you need any help at any point during the class, you’ll be encouraged to raise your hand and your baker will be virtually joining you in your own kitchen in no time to assist you!

You’ll bake along in tandem with Karen, learning many tips and tricks a long the way as you perfect all the skills required to make Karen's delicious Strawberry and Ganache Tartlets with Chocolate Dipped Strawberries. Karen will also be on hand to answer your questions, be those about baking or her experiences of being involved on such an iconic television show.

Tickets are priced at £35 for individuals and £50 for groups of two or more that will join from the same screen. Please note we can accept requests to move classes with two or more weeks notice prior to the class – any requests to do so, will incur a £5 administrative charge.

Once booked in, all guests will be emailed a full recipe and the zoom link required to join us for the class. Just in case you don’t spot it please check junk mail!

6 x 4 inch loose bottom tartlet tins (greased) or 1 x 8 inch tin

Plate about 5 inches round to use for cutter

6 cupcake wrappers or squares of baking paper

Baking Beans (ceramic/dried rice/pasta)

Heavy bottomed pan

Silicone spatula


Small offset spatula

2 x Bain Marie’s (pans with glass bowls on the top) or microwave:

Small piping bag with a small round hole nozzle inserted (size 1 or 2)

Sheet of baking paper


Pate Sucre

200g (1 ½ cups) plain flour (plus extra for dusting)

100g (7 tbsp) cold diced butter

50g (¼ cup) caster sugar

1 beaten egg

1 tsp vanilla paste


300ml (1 ¼ cups) double (heavy) cream

300g (approx. 2 cups) dark chocolate with about 55% solids

Strawberry Compote

200g (approx. 2 cups) strawberries (frozen or fresh)

65g (⅓ cup) sugar

1 tsp lemon juice


100g (approx. ⅔ cup) white chocolate

1 Tbs olive oil

100g (approx. ⅔ cup) dark chocolate

6 large fresh strawberries
