About the Event
Join the brilliant Jane Beedle (GBBO Finalist from series 7) live from Kent, UK who will teach you to bake her classic Sausage, Chicken and Leek Pie.

Bake With A Legend Online Classes are an interactive experience, where we limit group sizes to around 20 to ensure an intimate online setting. Not only do you have your celebrity baker teaching you, but you also have one of our brilliant Bake With A Legend hosts who will ensure the smooth running of your experience ensuring everyone is enjoying themselves.
If you need any help at any point during the class, you’ll be encouraged to raise your hand and your baker will be virtually joining you in your own kitchen in no time to assist you!
You’ll bake along in tandem with Jane, learning many tips and tricks a long the way as you perfect all the skills required to make Jane's delicious take on the classic Sausage, Chicken and Leek Pie. Jane will also be on hand to answer your questions, be those about baking or her experiences of being involved on such an iconic television show.
Tickets are priced at £35 for individuals and £50 for groups of two or more that will join from the same screen. Please note we can accept requests to move classes with two or more weeks notice prior to the class – any requests to do so, will incur a £5 administrative charge.

For the Pastry:
500g (4 cups) Plain Flour
½ tsp Salt
200g (14 tbsp) Unsalted Butter
50g Trex / Vegetable Shortening
1 Large Egg Yolk*
For the Filling:
15g (1 tbsp) Salted Butter
A Little Olive Oil
1 Large Leek (approx. 400g), finely chopped
2 Garlic Cloves, crushed
600g good quality Sausages (or your favourite)
200g Smoked Streaky Bacon
100g (⅔ cup) Good Breadcrumbs
½ tsp Allspice
1-2tsp Dried Thyme
4tsp Vegetable Bouillon Powder
3 Skinless Chicken Breasts
Egg for Glazing
For the Red Onion Relish:
5tbsp Balsamic / Sherry or Red Wine Vinegar
4tbsp Olive Oil
350g (peeled weight) Red Onions, finely sliced (approx. 2-3 onions, depending on size)
15g (1 tbsp) Salted Butter
3tbsp Cranberry Sauce
3tbsp Soft Brown Sugar
For the Tomato Chilli Jam:
250g Ripe Tomatoes, chopped (approx. 1 ½ cups)
1 Red Chilli (no seeds for less heat), sliced
1 Medium Onion, sliced
3 Cloves Garlic, chopped
1tsp Fresh Ginger, grated
1tbsp Fish Sauce
3tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
120g (½ cup, tightly packed) Soft Brown Sugar (light or dark)
*1 Large Egg in UK = 1 Extra Large Egg in US
