About the Event
Our extended 'Showstopper Classes' gives you the chance to bake an eyecatching masterpieces together during a four hour session.
Join the brilliant Jane Beedle (GBBO Finalist, series 7) live from Kent, UK who will teach you the skills you need to master her stunning Caramel Drip Cake.
This class takes place on Sunday 20th March at the following times:
8am PT / 10am CT / 11am ET / 4pm UK GMT
Please allow up to 2 hours for this class.
This bake will see you baking your own triple layers of caramel sponge, complete with a smooth caramel buttercream, decorative macarons and almond sugarwork. Jane will show you her very best tips and tricks for elegantly decorating your showstoppers, ready to impress!
Bake With A Legend Online Classes are an interactive experience, where we limit group sizes to around 20 to ensure an intimate online setting. Not only do you have your celebrity baker teaching you, but you also have one of our brilliant Bake With A Legend hosts who will ensure the smooth running of your experience ensuring everyone is enjoying themselves.
If you need any help at any point during the class, you’ll be encouraged to raise your hand and your baker will be virtually joining you in your own kitchen in no time to assist you!
You’ll bake along in tandem with Jane, learning many tips and tricks a long the way as you perfect all the skills required to make Jane's delicious and truly showstopping Caramel Drip Cake. Jane will also be on hand to answer your questions, be those about baking or her experiences of being involved on such an iconic television show.
Tickets are priced at £35 for individuals and £50 for groups of two or more that will join from the same screen. Please note we can accept requests to move classes with two or more weeks notice prior to the class – any requests to do so, will incur a £5 administrative charge.
Once booked in, all guests will be emailed a full recipe and the zoom link required to join us for the class. Just in case you don’t spot it please check junk mail!

For the sponges:
· 400g Salted butter - softened
· 200g Caster sugar
· 200g Light soft brown sugar
· 6 Large eggs – lightly beaten
· 430g Self raising flour
· 3 tsp Vanilla extract
· 4 tbs Water
For the caramel:
· 220g Caster sugar
· 100g Salted butter
· 140ml Double cream
· 1 tsp Vanilla extract
· Salt to taste
For the macarons:
· 120g Ground almonds
· 80g Icing sugar
· 2 Large egg whites ( approx. 70g)
· Pinch of cream of tartar
· 100g Caster sugar
· Brown food colouring (optional)
· 1 tsp Vanilla extract
For the butter icing:
· 500g Unsalted butter - softened
· 1000g Icing sugar
· 100ml Double cream
· 2 tsp Vanilla extract
For the caramel decoration:
· 150g Caster sugar
· 20-30g Flaked almonds
· Butter popcorn
