Join the brilliant Jane Beedle (GBBO series 6) live from Kent, UK who will teach you the skills you need to master her delicious Chocolate Spider Web Tarts: a sweet shortcrust pastry filled with a smooth caramel, silky chocolate ganache and feathered with white chocolate 'Spider Webs'. The perfect family-friendly class for the Halloween weekend. 

The class starts at 9.30am PT / 11.30am CT / 12.30pm ET / 4.30pm UK on Sunday 30th October 2022 and will take around one hour. This will give you a sample of what a full length class with Bake With A Legend entails whilst making a delicious treat. This one, will be great for all the family. Do invite all your friends and family to sign up - it's completely FREE.

All you need is access to Zoom via a computer, an iPad or a phone and you'll be connected! We’ll start off the class with an introductory welcome and some background from Jane's time on TV, before we ask you to put on your aprons & bake along as you watch Jane demonstrate all the skills required to make this favourite treat of hers. 

Please note this class will be taught in a webinar format and will likely have several hundred people joining us, unlike our normal classes, which are restricted to around twenty. Registration is essential and the only way to get an invite link to this class.

For this class you will need:



Wooden spoon/spatula

Grater or zester


8 x 10cm loose bottom tart tins* 

Baking beans/dried lentils/rice

Rolling pin 

Small piping bag 

8 paper cupcake cases

*You can make this in a 20cm (8”) tart case


For the pastry:

100g (14 tbsp) Unsalted butter – softened 

Large (or XL in USA) egg yolk

50g (½ cup) Icing/Powdered sugar 

½ tsp Vanilla extract

Grated zest of ½ an orange  

160g (1 ¼ cup) Plain/All-purpose flour

For the salted caramel:

75g (5 tbsp) Salted butter 

125g (½ cup) Soft brown sugar (light or dark)

300ml (1 ¼ cup) Double/Heavy Cream 

1 tsp Vanilla extract

Pinch of sea salt

For the Ganache:

250ml (1 cup) Double/Heavy Cream 

Grated zest of ½ an orange

250g (approx. 1 ½ cups) Plain Chocolate (not too dark)

For the decorations:

100g (approx. 2/3 cup) 

White Chocolate 

Sugar googly eyes
