Join the brilliant Jane Beedle (GBBO series 6) live from Kent, UK who will teach you the skills you need to master her delicious Baked Doughnut Spiders. The perfect family-friendly class for Halloween. 

The class takes place on Saturday 28th October at the following times:

9.30am PT / 11.30am CT / 12.30pm ET / 5.30pm UK 

The class will take around 1 hour and will give you a sample of what a full length class with Bake With A Legend entails whilst making a delicious treat. This one, will be great for all the family. Do invite all your friends and family to sign up - it's completely FREE.

All you need is access to Zoom via a computer, an iPad or a phone and you'll be connected! We’ll start off the class with an introductory welcome and some background from Jane's time on TV, before we ask you to put on your aprons & bake along as you watch Jane demonstrate all the skills required to make this favourite treat of hers. 

Please note this class will be taught in a webinar format and will likely have several hundred people joining us, unlike our normal classes, which are restricted to around twenty. Registration is essential and the only way to get an invite link to this class.

For this class you will need:


Silicone ring doughnut mould*  

Baking sheets   


Electric hand whisk  

Small piping bag x 2  

Cooling rack

Non-stick baking paper

*If you don’t have one of these, use a muffin/cupcake tin to bake your doughnuts, and you can hollow out the middles with a cupcake corer or the end of a large piping nozzle once baked


For the baked doughnuts:

75g (5 tbsp) Salted Butter, softened 

75g (⅓ cup) Caster/Superfine Sugar

1 Large (XL in US) Egg 

75g (½ cup) Plain/All-Purpose Flour

1 tsp Baking powder 

15g (1 ½ tbsp) Cocoa powder

1 tsp Vanilla Extract 

1 tbsp Plain yoghurt or sour cream

1 tbsp Water

For the spider’s legs:

200g (~1 ¼ cups) Plain/Dark chocolate (use milk chocolate if you prefer)

For the decorations:

Edible Sugar Eyes 

Icing/Powdered Sugar

Orange (or colour of choice) food colouring 

Chocolate sprinkles (optional)
