Join the brilliant Howard Middleton (Great British Bake Off Contestant from series 4) live from Sheffield UK, who will teach you the skills you need to master his Luxury Banoffee Pie!
This class takes place on Sunday 26th June at the following times:
9am PT / 11am CT / 12pm ET / 5pm UK GMT

Howard shows you how add a luxurious twist to the beloved Banoffee Pie... the 'show-offy banoffee' if you will! With subtly flavoured shortcrust, creamy toffee, caramelised bananas and a decadent Chantilly Cream, Howard takes the classic Banoffee Pie and makes it altogether more a-peeling!
Bake With A Legend Online Classes are an interactive experience, where we limit group sizes to around 20 to ensure an intimate online setting. Not only do you have your celebrity baker teaching you, but you also have one of our brilliant Bake With A Legend hosts who will ensure the smooth running of your experience ensuring everyone is enjoying themselves.
If you need any help at any point during the class, you’ll be encouraged to raise your hand and your baker will be virtually joining you in your own kitchen in no time to assist you!
You’ll bake along in tandem with Dan, learning many tips and tricks a long the way as you perfect all the skills required to make Dan's delicious take on the Portuguese egg tart pastry. Dan will also be on hand to answer your questions, be those about baking or his experiences of being involved on such an iconic television show.
Tickets are priced at £35 for individuals and £50 for groups of two or more that will join from the same screen. Please note we can accept requests to move classes with two or more weeks notice prior to the class – any requests to do so, will incur a £5 administrative charge.
Once booked in, all guests will be emailed a full recipe and the zoom link required to join us for the class. Just in case you don’t spot it please check junk mail!

Electric Hand Mixer or Rotary Whisk (for Whipping Cream)
Tart Tin 18-20cm (7-8in) in Diameter
Ingredients:
For the Sweet Shortcrust Pastry
125g Plain Flour
25g Icing Sugar
1 Large Egg Yolk*
Pinch of Salt
75g Cold Unsalted Butter, Cubed
1tsp Espresso Coffee Powder (optional)
1tsp Ice Cold Water
For the Toffee Cream Filling
75g Caster Sugar
1tsp Cornflour
25g Unsalted Butter
25ml Water
50ml Milk or Cream
200g Mascarpone or Extra Thick Cream
For the Caramelised Bananas
75g Caster Sugar
25ml Water
25g Unsalted Butter
3 Firm Bananas, Peeled and Sliced
For the Chantilly Cream
300ml Double Cream
25g Icing Sugar, Cocoa Powder or Grated Dark Chocolate
1tsp Vanilla Extract or Vanilla Bean Paste (or add Rum or a Coffee Liqueur to taste)
