Join the brilliant Dan Beasley Harling (GBBO, series 9) live from London who will teach you to create his Prinsesstårta. This classic Swedish Prinsesstårta is sure to impress even the most discerning of guests! The iconic green marzipan dome contains a vanilla sponge, layered with jam, custard, and cream, to create a dessert that is both rich and light. Dan will teach you how to make this European showstopper completely from scratch, and top it off with a hand-crafted marzipan rose!
The class starts at 8pm UK on Saturday 23rd October 2021 and all you need is access to Zoom via a computer, an iPad or a phone and you'll be connected! The class will take around 3h 30 minutes and we'll take a short break, so please allow up to four hours.
We’ll start off the class with an introductory welcome and some background from Dan's time on TV, before we ask you to put on your aprons & bake along as you watch Dan demonstrate all the skills required to make this favourite treat. Our class will take around 3h 30 minutes as we bake our masterpieces, before you can tuck into the fruits of your labour all whilst hearing fantastic memories and stories from Dan.
Tickets are priced at £50 for individuals and £70 for groups of two or more that will join from the same household. Places are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or altered after purchase.

For the Sponge:
4 Large Eggs*
175g Caster Sugar
125g Plain Flour
½ tsp Salt
½ Vanilla Pod, seeds only
For the Crème Pâtissière:
½ Vanilla Pod, seeds only
2 Egg Yolks
50g Granulated Sugar
For the Raspberry Jam:
150g Jam Sugar**
For the Whipped Cream:
600ml Double Cream
For the Marzipan:
300g Ground Almonds
200g Caster Sugar
Gel Food Colouring (Yellow, Green, Pink)
*1 Large Egg in UK = 1 Extra Large Egg in US
**or add ½ tsp of Pectin Powder to Granulated Sugar
