About the Event

Join the brilliant Dan Beasley Harling (GBBO, series 9) live from London who will teach you the art of baking the perfect Paris Brest. Part of our Patisserie Collection, a Paris–Brest is a French dessert, made of choux pastry and a praline flavoured cream. Absolutely delicious and a French classic.

We’ll start off the class with an introductory welcome and some background from Dan's time on TV, before we ask you to put on your aprons & bake along as you watch Dan demonstrate all the skills.

Our class will take around 2 hours as we bake our masterpieces, before you can tuck into the fruits of your labour all whilst hearing fantastic memories and stories from Dan.

Tickets are priced at £35 for individuals and £50 for groups of two or more that will join from the same household. Places are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or altered after purchase. All classes are subject to a minimum number of six attendees signing up. If the minimum number is not met, we will inform those who have purchased a place no later than 48 hours before the class, and will arrange a full refund.

All guests will be emailed a link to the class following their booking.

Equipment Required:

3 x Saucepan


2 x whisk

stand mixer with a paddle attachment and/or hand mixer

3 x piping bags

large and medium star tip (I use JEM2ES and JEM1ES)

2 x baking sheets

2 x baking mats or baking parchment

3 x mixing bowl

cling film

7-8cm round cutter

blender or food processor


Ingredients Required:

Choux Pastry:

75g water

75g milk

75g butter

1/2 tsp salt flakes

1/2 tsp caster sugar

100g strong white bread flour

175g whole eggs (3 large eggs ~200g in their shell)

Creme Mousseline:

400ml milk

4 egg yolks

40g cornflour

100g granulated sugar

250g unsalted butter, softened

Praline Paste:

150g granulated sugar

150g hazelnuts

To decorate:

50g chopped hazelnuts (optional)
