About the Event

Join the brilliant Dan Beasley Harling (GBBO, series 9) live from London who will teach you his Focaccia and Ciabarra Breadsticks. In this 2 hour class you’ll gain confidence handling high hydration doughs, and learn how to make two classic Italian breads. Firstly, a delicious fast focaccia, studded with roasted garlic, caramelised onions, tomatoes and rosemary. And in between proves, we’ll also find time to make some delicious feta and olive ciabatta breadsticks, and a refreshing tzatziki dip. Come hungry!

The class starts at 8pm UK on Sunday 16th January 2022 and all you need is access to Zoom via a computer, an iPad or a phone and you'll be connected! The class will take around 2hours.

We’ll start off the class with an introductory welcome and some background from Dan's time on TV, before we ask you to put on your aprons & bake along as you watch Dan demonstrate all the skills required to make this favourite treat. Our class will take around 2 hours as we bake our masterpieces, before you can tuck into the fruits of your labour all whilst hearing fantastic memories and stories from Dan.

Tickets are priced at £35 for individuals and £50 for groups of two or more that will join from the same household. Places are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or altered after purchase.

For the Dough:

800g (3 1/2 Cups) Warm Water ~38C / 100F (temp of a warm bath)

40g (2tbsp) Instant Yeast

1kg (8 Cups*) Strong White Bread Flour, plus extra

20g (1tbsp + 1/2tsp) Salt

For the Ciabatta:

120g (1/2 Cup + 3tbsp) Feta

50g (1/3 Cup) Black Olives

Semolina (optional)

For the Focaccia:

1 Large Bulb of Garlic

1 Large Red Onion

100g (2/3 Cups) Cherry Tomatoes


Olive Oil

Sea Salt

For the Tzatziki:

½ Cucumber

400g (1 2/3 Cups) Greek Yoghurt

2 Gloves Garlic, minced

2tbsp Olive Oil

1tbsp White Wine Vinegar

A Handfull of Fresh Mint, or Dill

Salt to taste
