Here at Bake With A Legend, we’re looking for a project event coordinator to join the team, full time, based at our office in North London.

Bake With A Legend (BWAL) is an events company which organises baking classes led by former contestants from The Great British Bake Off. BWAL also acts as an agency finding commercial opportunities for a number of those we work with.


The classes we arrange are a variety of private events for occasions such as hen parties, birthdays and team building events whilst we also offer a wide variety of public classes which anyone can attend.


We are seeking a full time project event coordinator, who will oversee day-to-day activities of the company, reporting to the Founder. BWAL is the sister company to Play With A Legend (PWAL), which arranges events with, and commercial work for, former footballers and whilst the majority of work will be for BWAL there will be some administrative work required for PWAL as well.



The successful applicant will be based at our office in Finchley, North London, a few minutes walk from Finchley Central tube station.



Whilst the majority of events take place in London, some travel around the UK will be needed for the running of events.


Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Handling initial enquiries and phone calls.

  • Converting enquiries into sales for events.

  • Updating customers throughout their booking process.

  • Arranging logistics for events, including booking venues, ordering ingredients, arranging event hosts, kitchen assistants and bakers.

  • Arranging invoices and payments.

  • Hosting events where required.

  • Management and updating of social media channels and our website.

  • Management of our various third party ticketing platforms, including AirBNB Experiences, Virgin Experiences & Red Letter Days.

  • Collating feedback from events.

  • Writing Marketing materials for the company.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport. 

  • Driven, self-motivated and enthusiastic.

  • Strong attention to detail.  

  • Comfortable hosting events.

  • Good workload management.

  • Degree Educated.

  • MS Office proficiency.

  • Comfortable handling basic accounts.

  • Strong telephone manner.

  • Ability to communicate to wide range of audiences.

  • Event management experience desirable. 

  • Great time keeping skills.



  • Required to act as an ambassador for the company.

  • Using own initiative to organise various tasks in order of importance.

  • Ability to work independently. 

  • Demonstrating accountability and ownership.

  • Interest and knowledge of baking / cooking would be preferred.

  • An interest in football would be beneficial but is not required.


Hours of work / Travel

  • As a guide, office hours are 9.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday. However, you may be asked to work a fair amount of Saturday’s and occasional midweek evenings. Time off in lieu will be given instead. 

  • Some travel around the UK will be necessary and a (clean) driving license would be preferred and your own vehicle would certainly be beneficial.



  • Salary is dependent on experience, but we are expecting to offer a salary in the region of £20-22k with a commission structure after probation.
